Southpointe Golf Club was the absolute BEST venue ever! Lauren, Heather, and Tara were absolutely amazing to work with and I would recommend this venue to anybody. We set up a few days of visiting venues and SPGC ended up being the last one we went to and as soon as we walked in the door, Lauren greeted us with a glass of champagne and an awesome personality and just absolutely sold us. From there, there was never any doubts or hesitations on my end that we would be taken care of. Heather, Lauren, and Tara ALL went above and beyond. They answered emails promptly, were willing to meet whenever I felt needed, and always helped me along the way. This brings me to our special day.... We are a few weeks out and are STILL getting compliments on SPGC. The setup, the service, the food, everything. was PERFECT. We had zero complaints, our families had zero complaints, our guests absolutely LOVED it. I cannot thank the girls and employees of Southpointe enough for making our day absolutely perfect!! Stop thinking about booking and do it!

Most perfect day ever! Lauren and the rest of the staff at Southpointe Golf Club went way above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect wedding experience. They seriously think of everything! We were treated like VIPs from our very first day touring the venue. Lauren was my main contact, and she was so quick to respond to any question, call, or email I had and was so very helpful. They made the stress of wedding planning so much easier than it would have been. Having your wedding at Southpointe is like hiring a personal wedding planner without the extra cost. Anytime I thought something would go wrong, the ladies at Southpointe had it under control and the day went off without a hitch! I wish I could relive the day again and again because it was so beautiful and fun. The food was incredible and so was the service! Everyone kept talking about how beautiful and well-kept the club itself is, and on top of that, how delicious the appetizers and dinners were. Having my wedding at Southpointe Golf Club was the best decision I could have made. They are an amazing team and so professional. Your day will be beautiful- they make sure of that! They think of everything down to the smallest details. If you have your event there- you will be in wonderful hands! I can’t say enough amazing things about this club, my experience, and Lauren and the rest of the staff. I am so lucky to have had my ceremony and reception there. 10000% would recommend them to anyone thinking of getting married in the Pittsburgh area! Best of the best!

Words cannot express how amazingly Heather and the entire team at Southpointe Golf Club handled planning and organizing our wedding ceremony and reception. It’s been just about a month since our wedding, and we still cannot believe how perfect and beautiful the day was. Last December, we made the tough decision to postpone it as our original date was in February of this year. Heather was so kind, supportive and encouraging during that moment. She assured us that everything was going to work out and we would have the wedding of our dreams. Her support meant so much as we didn’t know how things were going to turn out considering the state of the world. She handled reaching out to all our vendors and kept everything completely organized during the date change. Something that could have easily derailed our entire experience, made it an even better one. She was always available to meet with my mom and I to go over details (no matter how many times we asked). The event itself was spectacular. Our guests are still telling us how beautiful and organized everything was. The food was excellent. Everything was served hot and timely and Heather was there to make sure everything went off without a hitch. She made sure my husband and I had everything we needed all night. They plated all our cookies and the way they displayed them all looked like it was out of a magazine!!!! Thank you doesn’t even begin to be enough because of how amazing our day was!! Highly highly recommend!!!

She was super responsive throughout the entire planning process, and I always felt that she truly cared about making our wedding day absolutely perfect. The venue itself is gorgeous and we loved using the golf course for pictures. The food was AMAZING!! It's been nearly 3 weeks since our wedding and I am still receiving compliments from our guests. ZAC & ABBEY'S WEDDING
We chose the Southpointe Golf Club because of its location, capacity, layout uniqueness and ability to accommodate the elements we wanted in our reception (i.e. flexibility to allow us to go off menu, accommodations for a cigar bar, chiavari chairs being standard, separate room for our "Pittsburgh Cookie Tables", etc.). I have to say that from the very first meeting/tour I had with my mom, before my husband I toured together, I knew we found our reception space because of the welcoming nature and stability of the staff at Southpointe Golf Club. Heather and Lauren were my points of contacts throughout the almost-year planning process and were so great to work with. Countless email exchanges, calls, and partnership from them both.
For our overall wedding, it was about incorporating elements into the day that were meaningful to the both of us and tied in with our “A nod to Spain” overall theme. For example, we went a little off-menu with some of the adds to the appetizers and dinner to give our meals a more Spanish-style. Heather was great in helping us communicate back and forth with the Chef, who had taken the time to plan and write up multiple variations to the dinner options and appetizers so we could choose some Mediterranean/Spanish options to the meal. I was so pleased with the options and the accommodations they were making (I also have some food allergies to work around) and it really brought to life the overall feel for our evening. Heather also helped me immensely, since I decided to personally handle décor with the support of my family, to work through the table planning, where to place our welcome table, place cards, you name it. She knows what she is doing and pulls from her experience on what has and hasn’t worked in the past and is honest and a great partner in helping you bring to life the décor for your day.
In terms of the event space, the room is neutral enough where you as the bride (and groom ;)) can take the décor any direction you’d like – and with us, we truly loved the main features of the room (large windows for natural light, gold chandeliers, wood detailing (all throughout the club actually)) and really wanted to highlight those features into our décor because the space alone is really so beautiful. I took a minimalistic approach (for the most part) and let the ballroom be decorated by our flower centerpieces, some candles, basic lighting and some of the signs/stations (i.e. photo table). We then were able to add in some neon lights during the latter part of the evening once dancing started to ramp up the party vibe.
The day of staff was so accommodating – their support, politeness and overall demeanor was amazing. Everyone I walked past said “Congratulations”, which to me, was such a kind gesture for them all to do. True professionals and they were again so kind to our bridal party and guests.
I cannot recommend the Southpointe Golf Club enough – they treated us like family and it was a true partnership throughout the planning process. To us, that was one of the key factors in choosing a venue for our reception – we wanted to be able to partner together with true professionals who we could easily trust in planning our celebration. We got that and much more by working with Southpointe Golf Club!
